New Laptop

I bought a new laptop last night to replace my old one, which has a bad screen on it. There was a 2 inch blue band going down the middle of the screen, which wouldn’t have been so bad if it also didn’t cause every to look like I was looking at a 3-D image without 3-D glasses. The new laptop has a lot bigger hard drive than the old one so I can store all my songs on it. It took some time but I was able to get it to work with my GPS so I can wardrive with it. I haven’t wardriven since the old laptop got messed up. The new one also has built-in WiFi so I can use it at school, which is partly why I haven’t been blogging much lately.

last.fm

I went to log into my Audioscrobbler account today since I haven’t been there for a while and I got redirected to last.fm. Supposedly Audioscrobbler has been part of last.fm for a while but I never noticed. The layout is different from what Audioscrobbler looked like but I don’t care. The Audioscrobbler site didn’t blow me away and neither does last.fm.

Yanks May Host All-Star Game In 2008

Yankee Stadium could go out with a bang.

The New York Post reported Saturday that the Yankees and Major League Baseball have discussed the possibility of Yankee Stadium hosting the 2008 All-Star Game. The Yankees will move into a new Yankee Stadium in 2009.

“There have been talks about it being a way to honor the last year of the stadium,” a source told the Post.

Pittsburgh will host the 2006 All-Star Game and San Francisco has been chosen to host in ‘07. The Post reported that after two years in an NL park, the All-Star Game will likely be awarded to an AL team for ‘08.

Yankee Stadium has hosted the contest three times, in 1939, 1960 (the second All-Star Game) and 1977.

I’ve been at Yankee Stadium for a World Series game and it would be great to also see an All-Star game there. I wonder how soon it’ll be before they have an All-Star game in the new Yankee stadium.
