The New York Giants have just won the NFC East divisional title. They beat the Oakland Raiders 30-21. Tiki Barber had a record 95 yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Plaxico Burress followed with a 78 yard touchdown reception. This is the first division title for the Giants since 2000 where they went to the Super Bowl (only to lose to the Baltimore Ravens 34-7). I would love to see the Giants make it to the Super Bowl this year. If they do, there’s a good chance it could be a brother versus brother (Eli against his older brother Peyton) match up.

I just finished updating all of my blogs to WordPress 2.0 One of the first things I noticed was that when I choose to save a post and continue editing it before publishing, it shows a screenshot of how it’ll look on the site. Previous versions of WordPress only showed you how the text would be formatted.

Gaim 2.0 is in beta right now. I’ve been using 1.5 on my laptop and Trillian on my desktop for a while now because Gaim didn’t allow voice or video chats. It only allowed regualr text messages. So far,I haven’t been able to figure out if video and voice are in this beta but the Gaim website says it will be.

I have downloaded and installed a new VPN application called Hamachi.

Hamachi is a zero-configuration virtual private networking application with an open security architecture and NAT-to-NAT traversal capabilities.

I’m going to install this on my laptop too so that I can access my home PC while I’m at school. I may install this at work also for the same reason.

I’ve played with it some. I had to punch some holes in Zone Alarm (the firewall on my laptop) and Norton Internet Security 2005 (the firewall on my desktop) in order for it to work. I’ll add more when I spend more time with it.

Linksys as released a “new” router. It’s the same thing as the old WRT54G routers up to version 4. With version 5, the WRT54G router is no longer running linux. The new router is called the Linksys WRT54GL. I might have to pick one of these up while they’re available because Linksys isn’t too sure how many they will sell since it’s now for hobbyists and linux hackers. I’ve already installed a hacked firmware on my current WRT54G router but I would like to install some of the other firmwares on a spare router.
