Plaxo

I found out about this site/service called Plaxo from one of the guys at work. Basically, Plaxo keeps your address book updated on every computer. If someone in your address book is also a member of Plaxo, when they update their info, it’ll automatically update the info in your address book. You can also send out requests to everyone in your address book. They reply to the Plaxo service and automatically update your address book that way. It works with Outlook, Outlook Express, Mozilla Thunderbird, Mac Address Book, and Yahoo’s Address Book. They offer a pay service for $49.95 a year which gets rid of duplicate entries, allows you to view your contact info on a cell phone, and store more than 1,000 contacts. I really don’t need any of that so I went with the free service.

Motorola RAZR V3

I upgraded my cell phone tonight to a Motorola RAZR V3. I used to have a Motorola v551 which I’ve wanted to get rid of for a while because it was becoming a pain in the ass to charge. The RAZR can charge through a regular USB connection on a PC so I definitely don’t have to worry about having a charger with me. I also picked up a new Bluetooth headset to go with the phone. The new headset also charges through a USB connection which is nice because I stopped using my old Bluetooth headset because it was more trouble to charge than the phone.

My First Giants Game

I bought tickets off a woman I work with for the Christmas Eve game between the New York Giants and the New Orleans Saints. It’ll be the first Giants game I’ve ever been to. It’s not easy getting tickets to a Giants game since the almost all the fans that go have season tickets. I would’ve rather gone to the first Sunday night game this year. It’s brother-vs-brother. Eli versus his older brother Peyton.

Yankee Stadium Ground Breaking

Today, George “The Boss” Steinbrenner and Mayor Bloomberg broke ground on the new Yankee Stadium. It is scheduled to open in 2009 across the street from the current House That Ruth Built. It will hold less fans than the current stadium but from what I’ve read about the new stadium, that’s the only downside. The new stadium will have the same dimensions as the current ballpark but the rest of the stadium will look like the original Yankee Stadium, including the facade that used to encircle the roof. The current stadium only has the facade in the outfield portion. The Yankee bullpen will be in right field which will be interesting to see. I’m so used to it being in center/left-center near Monument Park. Speaking of Monument Park, that will also be moved over to the new park. I am seriously thinking about getting tickets to the very last game of the season in 2008 and then the Opening Day of the new stadium in 2009.

MacGyver

According to Amazon.com, MacGyver - The Complete Final Season comes out on October 24, 2006. This will be the seventh season that comes out to DVD. I could’ve sworn there were 8 seasons, not 7.

Vice City

I was down in Miami the last few days for work. On the last day I was there, I decided to take a drive over to south beach. While driving around, I got a sense of deja vu. That’s when it hit me. It was familiar because I’d driven on the same streets in the video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Rockstar Games really did their homework and copied the city exactly.mi
