Happy Birthday Kurt Cobain

Today would’ve been Kurt Cobain’s 40th birthday. In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last 10 years, Kurt Cobain was the lead singer, songwriter and guitarist of the rock band Nirvana. He allegedly committed suicide on April 5, 1994 and his body was found 3 days later. I say allegedly because I don’t believe he killed himself. I think he was murdered and Courtney Love was responsible. She may not have done it herself but I think she knows who did.
The generation that grew up listening to Elvis Presley still celebrate his birthday every year. I think my generation will wind up doing the same with Kurt Cobain. I plan on visiting his grave one day.

DirecTV BTTF Commercial

They been showing the DirecTV Back To The Future commercial a lot lately on TV and there’s just one thing wrong with it (other than there wasn’t any DirecTV or HDTV in 1985). The cut on Doc’s forehead is on the wrong side. In the commercial, it’s above his left eye (right side of the screen). In the movies, it’s above his right eye (left side of the screen). Considering they used clips directly from the first movie, you’d think someone at DirecTV would’ve noticed that.

GMail Mail Fetcher

Google has finally enabled the mail fetcher in Gmail.  Now I can get my personal email from anywhere and it’ll be filtered out for spam.

Digg Buttons

I’ve added “Digg This” buttons to each post. I just have to play around with it to get the text to line up next to it instead of starting underneath.

My New iPod

My 4G 40GB HP/Apple iPod died on me over the weekend. I used it all day Saturday, came home, put it on the dock to sync up, and all I heard was click..click..click. After a few times of trying to restore it, I got the sad iPod on the screen so I know it was history. I went to the Apple Store in the mall by my house and picked up a new 30GB iPod. I didn’t even fill my last iPod half way so the 30GB is fine for me. While I was in the Apple Store, I also picked up the new iHome. I had the first iHome for my last iPod and it’s been acting up lately. When I saw the new model has dual alarm clocks, I bought it.

It’s Official

I made a post about 2 weeks ago saying that the Yankees were going to host the 2008 All Star Game. It’s finally been made official. Bud Selig announced yesterday that Yankee Stadium will host the All Star Game in its last year. Now all I have to do is find out when and how they are going to sell the tickets so I can buy some.
