I’m thinking about taking 2 weeks off of work next year, right around July 4th so I don’t have to worry about school, and drive cross-country on Route 66 once I get to Chicago. I’m still in the planning stages, like where I’m going to visit, where I’m going to stay, and how I’m getting back to Jersey.
So far, I know I want to visit:
- The Sears Tower
- The Chain of Rocks Bridge
- The U Drop Inn
- The Cadillac Ranch
- The ‘Here It Is‘ sign
- The first McDonald’s
- The Petrified Forest
I also know I want to stay at:
- Blue Swallow Motel
- One of the Wigwam Motels
- Wagon Wheel Motel in Cuba, MO
