I was surfing around Amazon.com and noticed Robin Hood: Men in Tights FINALLY is coming out on DVD September 5, 2006. I’ve been waiting a long time for this movie to come out.

MacGyver
According to Amazon.com, MacGyver – The Complete Final Season comes out on October 24, 2006. This will be the seventh season that comes out to DVD. I could’ve sworn there were 8 seasons, not 7.
My Name In Movie Credits – Part 2
I don’t have to worry about finding out if my name made it into the closing credits of Clerks II. Everybody that had the Clerks II MySpace account in their friend list before July 21st will have their names in the closing credits of the DVD version of the movie. I changed my MySpace account display name to include my last name in the hopes that it would show up in the DVD. Previously, I only had my first name which won’t help much when I want to brag/show off.
Clerks II
I just saw Clerks II and I already wanna watch it again. It was great. It started out kinda slow but after the first half hour, I really got into it. It was especially fun trying to find every reference in the movie including the most important one, the number 37. I was able to pick out the Mallrats and Jay and Silent Bob references but I have to watch the movie again to try and find the Chasing Amy and Dogma references.
My Name In Movie Credits
My name might be in the closing credits of Clerks II in both the theatrical and DVD releases of the movie. The first 10,000 people to add the myspace account of the movie to their friend list get the same benefit. This just gives me another reason to go see the movie in 2 weeks. I can’t wait.
Star Wars Unaltered
While I was in FYE, I also saw a poster advertising ‘Star Wars Unaltered’ will be released 3 months from today, September 12th. I had previous posted about this. I can’t wait till this is released.
Clerks II
I was over at News Askew getting caught up on View Askew news. Clerks II comes out in theaters July 21. I plan on seeing this movie while it’s theaters since I’m a big View Askew fan.
The Crow: Wicked Prayer
I was flipping through the channels earlier and came across The Crow: Wicked Prayer on the SCI-FI channel. This is the fourth movie in the Crow franchise and it’s the only one I hadn’t seen or own. I only caught the last 10 minutes and from what I saw, it sucks. This movie will, and probably should, put an end to any more Crow movies. From what I did see, Eddie Furlong (known as young John Connor from Terminator 2) looks like a drug addict when he’s painted as the Crow. David Boreanaz (known as Angel from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series) is not believable as a vilian. Tara Reid (from the first two American Pie movies) plays a witch helping out David Boreanaz’s character. They lost it entirely when they did this movie that they had to borrow ideas from the previous three. The first two Crow movies had a witch-type person helping out the villian in the movie. I’ve only seen the third movie once, so I can’t remember if there was one in that movie. The crow itself dies which is very similar to the second movie. The only difference is the crow is brought back to life. I tried to find this movie in Blockbuster when it was supposed to come out on DVD but could never find a copy. I’ll have to see if it comes on SCI-FI again and try to watch it from the beginning to get a better opinion, but if the whole movie is like the last 10 minutes, I’ll be changing channels after the first half hour.
Heart Like A Wheel DVD
Heart Like a Wheel, the movie about the life of Shirley Muldowney is set to be released on DVD on August 15, 2006 according to Amazon.com. Whether or not that’s the actual/final release date is unknown. From the top of the image of the DVD, I wouldn’t be surprised if NHRA sold the DVD at races in the Nitro Mall after it’s released.
Original Star Wars DVDs Done Right
I was reading this article over at Wired.com about Lucasfilm re-releasing the original Star Wars movies on DVD in their original format. That means Han shoots Greedo WITHOUT Greedo shooting first; no stupid CGI Jabba the Hutt, etc. The only stupid thing is they’re including the special edition version (with Greedo shooting first, etc.) on the same discs. That means I’ll wind up with 2 copies of the special edition. Oh well, it’ll be worth it to have the version I know and love.
