I love the idea behind BitTorrent and came across software that adds bittorrent to anybody’s website. Blog Torrent makes it easy to blog either large files or files that may receive lots of traffic, like podcasts. I will be implementing this into my site as soon as I find some files to share.

Spam Karma 2
I have updated the WordPress plugin I’ve been using to control the comment spam on my blog. I had over 300 spam comments caught by the original Spam Karma. The counter has been reset to 0 for the new Spam Karma 2. Let’s see how well it does its job.
WordPress 1.5.1
WordPress has updated their software today to 1.5.1. I have just finished updating all of my sites to WordPress 1.5.1.
Weather Icon 2.0
I have added my local weather to the left sidebar with a WordPress plugin called WeatherIcon 2.0. It’s a neat little plugin. It displays temperature, humidity, barometer, etc. I’m thinking about adding this to my racing site to show the weather at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park. For the racing though, I would only have it display temperature, humidity, and barometer; since those are the only measurements that matter to racing.
Changing Some Things Around
I’m in the process of putting a blog into every part of my site. I have already added one to my wardriving and racing sites. I’m going to give it a while before I update the WeirdNJ Hunting section of my site since that draws the most traffic.
Spam Karma
I just installed a plugin for WordPress called Spam Karma. It’s designed to keep all the comments from being filled with nothing but spam so I have less to moderate. I’ve read good things about it on the WordPress Support forum.

My New Blog
I have a new blog on this site. I originally had Blogger but didn’t like that it doesn’t support true RSS feeds (Blogger uses Atom) and Blogger doesn’t care if the blogs are valid XHTML. WordPress, the platform my blog is on now, does use a real RSS feed and does conform to W3C standards. I also switched because I plan on getting into podcasting which is why the RSS feed matters to me.
