MacGyver Season 7
I picked up MacGyver – The Complete Final Season from Best Buy the other day. This completes my collection except for the 2 made for TV movies which I figured would’ve been included with the final season’s episodes.

According to Amazon.com, MacGyver – The Complete Final Season comes out on October 24, 2006. This will be the seventh season that comes out to DVD. I could’ve sworn there were 8 seasons, not 7.
I went to Best Buy today to pick up MacGyver – Season Five. MacGyver – The Complete Sixth Season comes out June 13, 2006. That only leaves 2 seasons left until the complete series out on DVD. They seem to come out every 3 months so the 8th and final season should come out around Christmas time.
I was checking up on digg.com like I always do and came across a MacGyver Mastercard Super Bowl Ad. It starts off with Mac tied to a chair with a bomb counting down behind him. He breaks out of the rope using a pine tree air freshener which cost $1.29 on debit Mastercard. Then he slides down a rip cord using a tube sock that cost $4. And then finally hotwires a truck using a paperclip, ball point pen, rubber band, tweezers, nasal spray and a turkey baster which cost $14. The little things that get you through the day: PRICELESS. It was great seeing Richard Dean Anderson return to the character that lots of people know and love.
While I was getting a link for my last post, I found out MacGyver – Season Five will be coming to DVD on March 14, 2006
It turns out MacGyver is now available on Google Video. I already have the first 4 seasons on DVD but I just thought this was neat that it was on Google Video.
While looking through Amazon.com for Christmas gifts, I came across MacGyver – The Complete Fourth Season which is coming out December 6, 2005. That marks the half way point to the complete series.
Dana Elcar, who played Peter Thornton on the show MacGyver, died last monday (June 7, 2005) of complications from pneumonia at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura. He was 77. I just heard about it today when I was going through some of the RSS feeds I subscribe to. It really is quite sad to see him go. I am a big fan of MacGyver so it would sadden me to see any of the regulars on the show pass away.
MacGyver – The Complete Second Season came out today and I just had to pick it up to go along with the copy of MacGyver – The Complete First Season I have. While I was creating this post, I found out Amazon.com already has MacGyver – The Complete Third Season listed. According to Amazon.com, the third season is scheduled to come out on September 6, 2005, the day after Labor Day. It seems like they’re coming out with a season every 4 months or so. That means I should have all seven seasons by the end of 2006.
I was in Barnes & Noble earlier today to buy my father’s birthday gift, the Ray soundtrack, and I noticed MacGyver – The Complete First Season will be released next Tuesday. The best thing is it’s only going to be about $40. I’m definitely going to be there next Tuesday to pick myself up a copy.
