I finally got to use my passport this week. I had to fly to Taipei, Taiwan for work on Sunday morning. 22 hours later, I landed in Taipei. Apparently they like room temperature to be more on the cooler side. The room I had was a little chilly every night and the A/C units where I was working at were running even though it was only 10* C (50* F). Everything seemed very expensive if you didn’t take the currency exchange into consideration. My room was $6600 each night but that’s in Taiwanese dollars. Roughly $30 TWD = $1 USD. After you do all the math, it comes to $220 USD which is about average for a Grand Hyatt hotel in a major city. I’m heading home in a few hours and can’t wait to get back in the states.
